I really enjoyed this mail order, historical romance. Heroine was very sweet, timid, innocent and sheltered. Raised poor and forced to work jobs. Hero was raised in money and now working hard to build his own fortune. He was highly educated and intelligent, but rough and demanding. He falls half in love with heroine's picture and letter. So he sends for her. Like any new romance it starts off rough with the getting to know each other phase but it just keeps getting better by the end. No doubt hero crazy in love.Those love scenes were very hot, especially considering how demanding he was and how overwhelmed heroine was with everything. I loved the love story and storyline. Hero was very possessive of heroine. He really needed to chill at times but then he would not be who he is. He really loved heroine and the ending was real good way to end it. Safe read. Hero loyal. Great story with some dd and steamy love scenes. Standalone romance but part of a series. The epilogue gives a glimpse of next book in the series.

in reality... no one get spanking that harsh.... It was a good love story and he really is a good person and just didn't know how... interesting..
I have always loved Carolyns books so I was excited to see a new one. Kit wasnt one of my all time favorite characters but I still loved this book. Definately worth reading
Can't wait foe #3 to see what happens with the big bad Dom and little Bridget. This series is typical caroline,she is my favourite author .also of loving discipline and a lot is sassy,feisty women.just right.
Carolyn Faulkner is one of my favorite authors for the genre. Her characters have depth and the love scenes delight!
I completely enjoyed this story. Mary is such a sweet and vulnerable character but at the same time, she's very strong and wants desperately to be a good wife. The way the author writes of her husbands patience in teaching her about what's to come with certain wifely duties is so sweet and tender I just loved it.
I really enjoyed this it had great characters that I grew to love well described scenes and amazing romance. I didnt like the man at first I thought he was a jerk but he did really want what was best for his wife and he did try to do right by her. I thought that Mary was a little too nieve. I cant wait too read the 3rd book.
I've read and enjoyed all the Priceless Love books, but as I re-read them I think this one stands out as my favorite.
Mary Stiers has come out West as a mail-order bride, after answering the only ad that wasn't filled with spelling and grammar mistakes, to find herself married to a hardhanded cowboy who smells. Of course, once he gets the time to clean up, he actually cleans up pretty nicely and he stirs all sorts of feelings in her that she's not used to. Because her mother died when she was young, Mary didn't have anyone to talk to about sexual things and she's more than a little embarrassed by what's expected of her as a wife.
I loved seeing how Kit handled her innocence - with both gentleness and firmness - as well as how he handled disobedience, because I do love a good spanking and Carolyn Faulkner writes some of the best. Mary EARNS her spankings, sometimes because of misguided good intentions, sometimes because of her mouth, but never because she's unintelligent or acting unintelligently. And that's one of my favorite things about this series, the heroines are strong and they don't earn spankings because of anything silly. Their actions are always understandable.
And the man has to learn a lesson too, in Kit's case it's that trust is not something that can be taken for granted and that he needs to trust his wife so that she can trust in him. Getting jealous over other men drives a wedge between them and he realizes that he loves Mary and he will do anything to return their relationship back to normal.
